What is DenimNotes?
DenimNotes is a mobile app for fashion buyers, sourcing managers, and supplier reps at textile trade shows. It captures fabric article numbers using live OCR camera scanning, records voice annotations transcribed by AI, classifies fabrics with a 5-level taxonomy, and generates professional PDF sample requests sent via WhatsApp.
Key features of DenimNotes
- Live OCR label scanning — reads article numbers from fabric labels instantly using Google ML Kit on-device processing
- Voice annotations — hold mic to record, Whisper AI transcribes automatically, saves to fabric record
- 5-level fabric taxonomy — stretch type (rigid, comfort, super, hyper), construction (slub, crosshatch, plain, twill), softness, shade, price tier
- Offline-first — captures save locally in under 200ms, syncs when reconnected
- PDF generation — professional sample request with fabric image, article number, composition, price, taxonomy, notes
- WhatsApp sharing — one tap sends PDF with pre-filled message to supplier
- Moodboard grid — all captures filterable by taxonomy, supplier, session
- Classify All — batch card-stack mode, swipe right to save, left to skip
- Dual mode — Mode A for buyers, Mode B for supplier reps
Who uses DenimNotes?
Fashion buyers and sourcing managers use DenimNotes (Mode A) to capture fabrics at supplier booths, build a classified shortlist, and send sample requests. Supplier reps and sales teams use it (Mode B) to record which fabrics buyers select and send selection confirmation PDFs back to brands.
Which trade shows is DenimNotes used at?
DenimNotes is designed for use at Kingpins Amsterdam, Kingpins New York, Première Vision Paris, Munich Fabric Start, Denim Première Vision, and similar global textile sourcing trade shows.
How does DenimNotes solve the trade show sourcing problem?
Fashion buyers typically visit 50–100 supplier booths over two days, seeing 200 or more fabric samples. Without a dedicated tool, details are lost — article numbers written incorrectly, compositions forgotten, photos without context, and follow-up admin taking days. DenimNotes captures every detail in under 2 seconds per fabric, classifies the collection automatically, and delivers a structured PDF to the supplier the same day.
Is DenimNotes available on iOS and Android?
Yes. DenimNotes is available on iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play), and as a web application. It is built with Expo and works offline on both platforms.
Who made DenimNotes?
DenimNotes is built by Esipick, a purpose-driven software agency founded in 2013. The app was co-founded by Umer Farooq Qureshi, who has 20 years of experience in the textile and denim industry including building the Neela by Sapphire Fibres denim mill, and Matt Kaercher, a GS1-certified supply chain specialist based in Tampa, USA.
